The _p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e argument is a pointer to a pathname on which the client is
operating.
The _t_h_e__s_c_o_p_e argument identifies the scope of the request. If _t_h_e__s_c_o_p_e
is TTTTTTTT____SSSSCCCCOOOOPPPPEEEE____NNNNOOOONNNNEEEE, ttttttttddddtttt____GGGGeeeetttt____MMMMooooddddiiiiffffiiiieeeedddd() tries TTTTTTTT____BBBBOOOOTTTTHHHH, and falls back to
TTTTTTTT____FFFFIIIILLLLEEEE____IIIINNNN____SSSSEEEESSSSSSSSIIIIOOOONNNN if, for example, the ToolTalk database server is not
installed on the file server that owns _p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e.
The ttttttttddddtttt____GGGGeeeetttt____MMMMooooddddiiiiffffiiiieeeedddd() function passes _a_p_p_2_r_u_n and _m_s__t_i_m_e_o_u_t to
ttttttttttttkkkk____bbbblllloooocccckkkk____wwwwhhhhiiiilllleeee(3), blocking on the reply to the _G_e_t__M_o_d_i_f_i_e_d request it
sends.
RRRREEEETTTTUUUURRRRNNNN VVVVAAAALLLLUUUUEEEE
Upon successful completion, the ttttttttddddtttt____GGGGeeeetttt____MMMMooooddddiiiiffffiiiieeeedddd() function returns
non-zero if the _G_e_t__M_o_d_i_f_i_e_d request receives an affirmative reply within
_m_s__t_i_m_e_o_u_t milliseconds; otherwise, it returns zero.
